The old English word for the Harvest tide is Mabon. It is the original ‘Thanks giving time’. We just saw the appearance of the ‘Harvest Moon’ in Pisces and have reached the point of Autumnal Equinox; the balance point between the amount of daylight and darkness. This is a time of celebration and rejoicing at […]
A tradition from the Jewish Kab’Allah system is to count Omer, for the 49 days between Passover to Pentecost. This prepares the Body, Soul, Heart and Mind to receive the blessings of the Holy Spirit. This is a Spiritual practice of review and renewal, which is done every Spring season in preparation of the year ahead.
Using the Tarot cards 1 – 10, of each Elemental suit, we focus on the message of that card throughout the day. Keeping a Journal is necessary to record all the unconscious messages that will arise upon daily contemplation of each Tarot card. Upon 50 days, one’s conscious should be prepared to receive higher messages from Spirit. Namaste’
In the 9 Keys Tarot variation of counting Omer, we start at the lowest sphere of Earth, which has the densest energies of physical being, and count upward until we finish at the Sun sphere, the Higher Self.
Below is a compact diagram of the Kab’Allah glyph:
Creative Energy travels downward from Source into each sphere, which maintains its integrity but gains density, until it comes to physical manifestation in the Earth sphere.
The topmost triangle is the ‘Supernal Triangle’ of Deity. This is said to be above mankind’s comprehension (until the Great Work is done to perfection). My theory is that we, as humans, CAN access this level of consciousness once we have comprehended the lessons of each of the lower spheres and embodied these lessons into our daily lives, which is the purpose of the ‘Counting of the Omer’.
The Energy flows from Source to Uranus, then Saturn, then Sun into Jupiter and so on in a ‘lightning bolt’ shape. Each planetary ‘Sphere’ (Sphera) contains denser frequencies of the same energy.

Here is the Basic Premise: Over the ages the Jewish mystical tradition of Kabbalah has been used as an ancient mystical device used to explain creation and the organization of hierarchical energies that underlie all of creation. There are 10 spheres that hold energetic patterns. These are sorted by the highest frequencies on the top and the lower, more dense frequencies, on the bottom of this glyph. This glyph is called the ‘Tree of Life’ by many early cultures.
Structure: There are 22 Hebrew letters and 22 connecting lines between the 10 spheres of the Kabbalah ‘Tree of Life’. Various Rabbinical schools of thought, as well as more modern esoteric traditions, place Hebrew letters into positions along these ‘paths’, but each school of thought varies these positions (as you may be able to tell by the overlay of the page behind this image of a Kabbalah glyph.)
Since Victorian times occultists have placed the Major Arcana of the Tarot onto these paths. However, the Tarot cards and Hebrew letters vary according to which story is being explained by the various traditions. To get to the bottom of this mysterious ‘mixup’ I delved into some of them by intensive solo study and in group classes.
I took a Tarot course originated by the Golden Dawn’s initiate school to investigate the story behind their tradition and felt it was dated, in that it was very paternalistic, and even somewhat misogynist. I thought the story could be retold to a modern audience in ways that were more inclusive and non-gender in nature.
Then I took a yearlong course on Kabbalah by a NYC Rabbi and went deeper into my 10 year study of that mystical system. I learned that even ancient traditions have had various evolutions and that modern thinking by the Reform Jewish tradition allows for modern interpretation and development of philosophical thought.
So I gave myself permission to integrate the many esoteric systems I’ve studied over decades and put the pieces of this “Great Mystery” together. It’s taken me the better part of 10 years to assemble this unified puzzle and I would like to share my insights with other Seekers of Ancient Truths for todays Modern Mystics.

Did you know that the original letters of the English ‘Alpha-Bet’ come from the Hebrew letters “Aleph” and “Beth”? Each of the letters are considered sacred and have many meanings and numerical equivalents. This alphabet is the basis for many written languages and great care has been taken to keep the proper brush strokes that create the Hebrew letters exactly over these many centuries!
As more people learned to read and write, the sacred mysteries continued to be passed down orally from Master to Student privately. These students had to have been adult men, over 40, who were married property owners. These requirements maintained that the secrets remained safe and unaltered, by wise elders, in order to help generations understand the codes of creation, the function of society, spirituality, and each persons place in the world.
Think of it! This is a secret code, hidden in plain sight, and used daily without awareness by most people, actually as hidden entendres to those who can understand them! 😉 It is exciting to learn that these secrets can be easily applied to your life~ for more ease, understanding and eventually, to gain the wisdom to be able to create a life of your highest aspirations~
Because NOW the wisdom of the Kabbalah, the Hebrew mystery tradition that originated with the pre-Judiac people long ago, can be shared with everyone! Are you ready to learn more??
~Each of the 22 Hebrew letters have esoteric qualities embedded into them. I will explain some of the basic meanings that I use in my metaphysical work with you over the next few months. I will also share some ideas about how you can become more familiar with the power of these spoken letters. Here we go!~
ALEPH is the first of the Hebrew letters.
Aleph – the first, yet unspoken, Hebrew letter tells a story of the creation through the word.
Aleph, when pronounced slowly, consists of the intake of breath and it’s exhalation, ‘ah’.
The tongue touching the front teeth, becomes the second part of this letter, ‘el’.
And the breath exiting the mouth as the sound ‘f’ is created with the lips against the teeth.
A L F
There is no need to add the vocal cords to this word. It symbolizes the exhalation of breath with an unspoken thought. This ‘ideation’ was the first step in the creation process.
The movement of AIR from the lungs to the center of the mouth, the roof of the mouth and the front of the mouth, demonstrates the process of sending an idea from within to the world without. This parallels the maxim, “As above, so below. As within, so without”.
Each time you speak, your Ideas, as sparks of thought, come from within your mind and will. When these thoughts are put into Good Orderly Direction, you are using your innate talent as a co-creator with G-d.
*Choose your thoughts and words carefully, because the vibration of the sound of words uttered, creates a frequency force upon the matrix of the web of life. What you think upon, you create, because as attention goes, so energy flows. Words act like boomerangs, they return to us wether we want them to or not!
*Consider this- What do you spend your time doing throughout the day? Hygiene, is taking care of the temple that is your body. Preparing food is similar maintenance of the vehicle you live in. Cleaning and maintaining your body, your home and your workplace are all basic upkeep that allows your body-mind-spirit SELF to function with greater ease. They are good practices. Being PRESENT in the current moment allows you to accomplish more with less effort.
*Do you walk mindfully throughout the day? As you grow older, it becomes more obvious that you need to pay more attention to your movements in the world. Walking can become a meditation that balances the right and left hemispheres in the brain.
*How do you spend your free time? Things you think about are what you worship. Some people worship football, others worship baking, and yet others their pets, their children, their spouse. The things you focus attention upon, are what you worship. What do you worship?
*Do you select entertainment to increase your wisdom and understanding of the world or to KILL TIME? Most tv shows are based in dictated “popular culture” and are based in violence and drama? Why? Because adrenaline sells.
Whatever you take into your psyche becomes part of your SELF. At my home we live by the maxim that ‘Violence is not entertainment!’. Of course, this limits what we watch and participate in, but it adds a sense of peace and calm as our home is an oasis from the frenetic energy of the outside world. There are lots of great shows on Science & the Arts, Music, Song, Dance and romantic comedies have no violence, you just have to be selective in finding them.
*The letter ALEPH, reminds us to engage in practices that bring joy, amusement and awe. AHHH, the sound of Aleph is a helpful way to remind yourself of what you are grateful for in your life. Gratitude adds a lot to the quality of life, so practice it often. Namaste’ ~K
~Just a note to let you know that I’m currently working on the artwork and notebooks that will accompany my “9 KEYS TAROT’. This is more than just another slant on a Tarot deck. It is a teaching deck of tarot cards that employ 9 esoteric systems!
As a Metaphysical student, scholar of 40 years and teacher for over 20 years, I employ all I’ve learned into a condensed presentation, so that you can learn at your own pace, through various learning styles, at home, using my 9 Keys Tarot deck and various PDF workbooks.
The 9 KEYS TAROT is based in the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition, using recognizable features from this primary deck. It includes Kabbalah as taught in the Reform Judaism tradition, including meaning of Hebraic Letters, Spiritual Astrology, Runes, Numerology and Sacred Geometry, Totem Animals, and many hidden meanings in the artwork and color choices.
I hope to present a series on Hebrew Letters starting soon…so stay tuned! #Happy2020
#2020 Let’s hold space for each other as we walk each other home! #WeCanDoThis
The holy Tetragrammaton consists of the letters YHVH, and means ‘Jehovah’ or the unpronounceable name of God.
The letters themselves have several meanings with subtle differentiations; for example, the letter Y is pronounced Yud or Yod, as there are no specific vowels in Hebrew.
YUD is a spark, a spiritual flame, the indwelling Spirit, the Holy Spirit and YOD, means the finger of God (as an astrological configuration), which also means a direction, your purpose, and your path. (Picture Pentecostal flames of Spirit on the heads of disciples speaking in tongues.)
The letter H, pronounced Heh, in noun form, means ‘window’ and in esoterically, word, thought, and idea. When you put these two meanings together you may grasp the meaning of ‘an idea working like a window of the mind’.
The letter V, pronounced Vav, as a noun, means ‘nail’ and metaphorically means the ‘joiner,’ which functions like the word ‘and,’ that esoterically means ‘that which gives meaning’ so that Understanding can occur.
Taking these three letters’ meanings together, we see that YHVH can mean ‘Inspired Ideas And Inspired Words’. This, in short, is the definition of ‘divine’ and ‘holy’.
An interesting insight of the 9 Keys Tarot is that the #1 card is the Magi, short for Magician. This is an Initiate of hidden knowledge, who creates magic in the world. He takes inspired ideas and transforms them into physical manifestations by way of spoken word and action. Just as we all get ideas and pursue them until our goals are reached.
The suffix of the word Heh, however is feminine, so the word Heh could take on an added meaning of ‘the male female’ idea.
The #2 card is the Muse, who takes initial input she receives from the Magi and translates it for their mutual Understanding. She is the Subconscious, to his Conscious mind. Once this mutual agreement has been reached, they both work with the Source of inspiration to begin to manifest on this Earth plane.
The word ‘Vav’, as a suffix, is male and gives the meaning to the ‘male female’ Understanding. When combined in the supernal, or highest, triangle of the Tree of Life glyph, aka the Godhead, we see that the Yud – insight, combines with the male female idea, and the male female understanding to become a closed circuit of energy that forms a triune Mind of Wisdom and Understanding.
It is by each of us discovering the anima to our animus, and our animus to our anima, that we become whole beings. Only after this merging happens can we heal the split within, allowing us to rise to higher frequencies of our Higher Self, which is egoless, observing and wise. In this state, the Divine within us becomes activated and we become co-creators with God. ~Namaste.
One day I’ll have a POWER POINT to present this cool idea, until then…
*Picture a pin-ball machine where the ball falls from the highest sphere, dropping down to the right. The flipper is activated and the ball is shot over to the left side, at which time the flipper returns the ball to the right where it is projected back to the outlet it came from, but this time there is a barrier that pushes the ball back to the lower left, where it is pushed downward to the center after the supernal triangle is activated – and lights up! Wheee~
