Astrology- Venus in Taurus

Venus moves in, as ruler of its natural home, Taurus, today!
It’s the archetypal energy of welcoming the Queen to her favorite castle, the one made of stone and trimmed in gold.
This means the planet of interpersonal relationships may be slipping into something a bit more comfortable, and nestling down into its well-feathered bed and pulling out old love letters about now~ Venus stays in this happiest of places through April 4.

Mercury, planet of conversation and communication goes retrograde Monday March 12 through April 4th as well. It will be a time to reminisce good times gone by, review plans and promises, but not to start new communications or sign any dotted lines! Pulling out an old family album or yearbook might be in store for the sentimental among us- just try not to wallow in self-pity or regret. Get the trusty pen and paper out and send off a handwritten missive to long lost friends and family, as computers tend to go haywire during a Mercury retrograde. You have a week’s warning to BACK UP your hard-drives!

Venus is about to parallel the largest planet – Jupiter – very soon. Their exact parallel happens Tuesday, March 6 at 6:39AM UT. The Moon and Venus brush by each other just prior to this event like secret lovers eyeing one another from across the room…time to play and make romance…and do those things which make you feel most pampered!

The only caution is early Tuesday morning, be careful not to over-spend or over-indulge as you may be tempted to do. The Moon parallels Mars later on Tuesday, bringing assertion, brashness and boldness to the forefront of emotions. Be sure that what you want to say is worded in a non-threatening way. You can get your point across and still be civil. Take action, but be gallant.

Wednesday, March 14th four major planets join to form a grand trine in earth signs; Venus and Jupiter (the Lover and Santa Claus of planets) meet at her place, making a comfortable link to action-hero Mars in Virgo (the gallant consort Gallahad) and they all trine, or meet with ease, Mr Pluto, the transforming wizard in the sign of Capricorn, Lord of bones, structures and honored traditions. This Earth energy will keep us all well-supported in any changes we elect to make, esp regarding love and comfort. So start making your wish lists for Santa now and be ready to act on them soon!

The new moon occurs March 22 at 2* Aries, showing us the truth of human nature and giving us the capacity to look objectively at our selves and others. If we can smile through the tears we can go far. This will provide us with a chance to pull out of our sentimentality and look into the mirror directly. It could prove a day which shows us what we are really made of – especially in relationship to the world as it shifts and humanity as a whole. Will we show our heart’s compassion or hide away in fear? This could be a milestone day in which the future is built. Be bold. We have love on our side!

~Appreciate this month’s-worth of comfort, joy and spirit of community. May it give you the strength to find peace, happiness and serenity within~ even among the midst of external chaos.

How to Save a Life

Be There~ Listen~ Love~
Have you ever heard a friend, who was really down, say “I hate myself” or “I’m thinking of doing something…” “I just cant take it anymore!” They dont have to say they feel suicidal— just feeling down and confused is a state of hell where the suffering FEELS like it will last forever!
A person doesn’t have to be dead in order for part of their soul to die.
Certain statements should set off alarms that mean, “Im scared, confused, angry, overwhelmed”.
So, what do you do when this happens? Are you shocked? Concerned? Scared that you dont know the right thing to do? Of course, that’s natural. But what do you actually do?

Sometimes people recognize negativity and depression and evade it at all costs, thinking it is contagious…and in a way, they may be right. Depression has its way of spreading to you if you open your heart in caring and allow yourself to fall into despair with them. But it is your CHOICE to decide if you want to give in to the prevailing emotion and suffer along with them, or not.

Standing in your own power is probably more of what a depressed person needs…for you to be strong when they cannot. A listening ear, a gentle touch, holding hands or, if you know them well enough, putting your arm around someone who is down can allow that person to relax, center and face their greatest fears is what they need. Just to be able to sit silently with someone or hold them while they are crying, gives them the strength to find their inner core of self, and find their own power within. Sometimes that is enough to help them stop their mental wheels from spinning out of control. To pause and regroup.

What can we do? Care. Be there for them. Be brave enough to sit with them to show your support. Share a kind, quiet word. Be non-judgmental. Allow them to be themselves….even though it may be the dark side of themselves. Open your heart to them. See them. See their humanity. Love them. Then help them find someone else more experienced or qualified to talk with after you’ve given them your support.

What should we not do? Shun them. Avoid them. Judge them. Berate them. Offer advice, unsolicited. Tell them antecdotal stories to distract them. Paint their suffering as small, or try to ‘fix’ them – because there is nothing ‘wrong’ to fix…..

The easiest way to show your caring is to simply sit and listen. Encourage them to open up and speak…because some people just need to talk things through in order to process them, especially if their problem seems overwhelming. And if, after doing this doesn’t seem to resolve issues or lessen the pain of the moment…find a number of a crisis hotline or counseling service for them, because they could be in such a confused place that they can’t do it for themselves.

~Yesterday at church, our sermon was on depression and mental illness. When asked who in the congregation (which was a packed house, I might add) knew anyone with a diagnosis of any sort of mental illness, be it depression, anxiety or other illnesses—
almost every hand went up! It was amazing.

Our minister said that 1 in every 4 people is, at any time depressed. Some of them clinically depressed. And although they may be out of touch with their emotions, numb or confused, they look completely normal and function as if nothing is wrong. They’ll say they are “fine” and even smile, yet inside they are suffering and feeling alone. If they are not brave enough to say anything…they continue to suffer.

The highlight of the service was when we joined hands and sang “Lean on Me” at the end of the service. The feeling of community was palpable! The buzz in the commons afterward was loud and vibrant…people finally discovered that it was okay to open up to one another and share~

*All of us have been sad or depressed at one time or another. The spectrum of emotion is wide and universal. Maybe we experience all of our emotions in order to be able to sympathize with others, and in that sharing, that empathy, come to reinforce the better, stronger sides of us all,
—share our strength and uplift humanity, one person at a time?

*As humans we have a capacity to feel all kinds of emotions and the capacity to communicate our feelings with words. Why do we have such skills, unless it is to advance our spiritual evolution?

*The Best we can do, is to ‘Bloom Where We Are Planted’~
Do our Daily Best and Be There for the others in our lives.

The Chakras – an introduction

The Chakras are energetic spheres that are found aligned in our bodies along the center line from the tailbone to the crown. They’ve been recognized for over a millennia in India, and may have formed the earliest acupuncture meridian grid bases. Each of the 7 chakras are places where we store ‘power’; our personal life force, otherwise known as ‘chi’ energy.

When we’re feeling well and life seems to flow along for us, the chakras are open and energy is spinning through as it should. If we get ill, say a sore throat, for example, it is believed that the throat chakra has been suffered stress~ most likely having been restricted by feelings of blocked expression or feeling overly censored, whether by society or oneself. This creates tension and allows germs to settle in and wreck havoc.
IMO colds can be averted by staying happy and by holding one’s power, as well as eating nourishing foods, drinking plenty of clean water, getting enough rest and practicing good personal hygiene. If we are ‘misaligned’ by emotional upset or physical crisis it can lead to increased ill health and longer recovery times. That’s a good reason to try and manage our emotional life and the stimuli that enters our psyche.

Have you noticed that some people can be in the midst of an outbreak of flu and not be affected, while others get sick frequently? Our immune systems function best when our bio-electromagnetic energies are flowing well. Deep breathing and gentle exercise can help keep this flow going.

This effect of ‘energy flow’ has been proven in trees as well; if a tree is stressed by environmental factors, like drought or root damage, it sends out signals, somewhat like our hormones, that says, “I’ve been injured”. Insects pick up on this message and start attacking damaged trees, leaving healthy ones to thrive. So insects act as wolves do on herd animals – and only attack those ‘open to infestation’.

Exercises like Tai chi or Qi gong slowly move this internal energy through our bodies which helps us stay ‘in the flow’. I can personally attest to the fact that these easy, gentle movements unwind tension and allow ‘stuck’ emotions to flow out of oneself so that healing can occur on many levels; physical, mental and emotional. It actually allows negativity to leave ones body so that whatever you focus on, that is positive, may enter that vacuum. Of course, you have to consciously put positive intentions back into your body via positive thoughts, or habitual worry and doubt will return.

1 Root Chakra– located at the base of the spine, this chakra is pictured as red; the color of survival, basic instincts, fight/flight reactions, and is related to the adrenal glands, large intestines, kidneys and digestive system.
2 Sacral Chakra– located at the reproductive organs, pictured as orange; the color of sexuality, sensuality and human relations and is related to the reproductive hormones, bladder and kidneys.
3 Solar Plexus Chakra– located in the belly, near the naval, is pictured as yellow; the color of personal power and intent, is paired with the pancreas, liver, gall bladder, stomach, small intestine and spleen.
4 Heart Chakra– located under the sternum in the center of the chest, is pictured as green; the color of growth, compassion and healing, and is tied into the thymus gland, and heart.
5 Throat Chakra– located near the adams apple, is pictured as blue; the color of self expression, emotion and interpersonal dynamics, and is tied into the thyroid and parathyroid glands, which control growth and many other glands, and lungs.
6 Third Eye Chakra– aka Anja, is located between the brows, is pictured as indigo; the color of psychic energy and intuition and is connected to the pineal gland, the brain and face.
7 Crown Chakra– located at the top of the head, where the skull plates intersect is pictured as white and sometimes purple; the color of holiness, royalty and purity and is our connection to Source/All that Is/Higher Self. It is connected with the pituitary, our Master gland, which controls autonomic functions as breathing and heartbeat.
There are actually more chakras found above one’s crown, but they are engaged in higher spiritual states than the mundane reality most of us know. The 8th Chakra is sometimes arrived at and energized in mystic union with another via Kundalini yoga and the 9th Chakra is aka Nirvana, is activated briefly as a state of Unity with All that Is.
More blogs on the chakras will follow in more detail. In the meantime, Enjoy your weekend
be Healthy, be Happy and be Well~

New Moon in Pisces

This week the Sun moves into the astrological sign of Pisces, the fish, the ‘last’ sign of the zodiac, ruler of intuition, dreams, illusions, delusions, addictions, martyrdom and depth of feeling.
As the Moon moves into the same sign, we behold a New or Dark Moon.
Since the Sun and Moon have the most powerful sway over us as Earthlings, when they combine their energies we can usually sense it…albeit unconsciously. This time I’m feeling it as a wallop!
Yes, Ive been walloped by a wet grouper~ but Im not falling into despair.

The New Moon also falls on Fat Tuesday- the day in which to celebrate, while we eat and DRINK everything the pantry holds! Party that day for the next, as Lent begins, we are asked to re-establish our connection with what is fresh and pure through ‘sacrifices’. The Piscean New Moon is the perfect time to throw out the old and begin fresh with plans for the Spring….as it’s not too far away now! [It always makes me smile when the church catches up with original practices]

Its time to begin various types of ‘fasting’ in order to remind ourselves of our fallible human condition and to redirect our behavior in the way our conscience desires us to go. Surrendering our human ego/what we think we want, to that of the Divine Will/what we really need, is the best sacrifice any of us can make towards Spiritual growth. Being mindful of our actions is always important, but if we can do it collectively now, much more energy is added to our group intention for peace and healing.

Under a Piscean sky, people tend to delve deeply into their emotions, getting morose over things that normally wouldn’t send them off the deep end, and giving into addictive behaviors. While we let the fishes loose, we must remind ourselves that we are the fishermen, not the fish. We should allow our Selves to see and feel the emotions washing over us, but not drown in them. Keep treading water and eventually you’ll come to the shore…or better yet, STAND on the shore and watch the sunlight sparkle on the fish scales as they swim by. We need to be reminded that we are always bigger than our emotions! In fact, its Magic to recognize that we hold the hooks in our hands~

COMPASSION is a key word for the Piscean New Moon. It is a time to not only feel the extension of love and compassion for others worse off than ourselves, but to look inward and extend that compassion to our Selves! The times when we make bad decisions are the times we must be the most Forgiving toward ourselves…..and not beat ourselves up!

Its important to love and forgive those who have wronged us, not because what they did was Right, but because it will HEAL US! And as we look to our wounds, we need to send lovingkindness to our Selves, as well as to those who hurt us, in order for the rift to be healed~ on both sides.

Mind – Body – Soul

I believe, that most of us live in our minds.

We experience the world through our own filters of belief, experience and perception…that come from the mind.  We see the world as a place that doesn’t change much day to day, a place of set expectations…that become those expectations, repeatedly. That’s reality, right?
The things you can see, feel, touch, and know will be there tomorrow~ the mind creates these paradigms in order to feel comfortable in a daily routine. These images can become so ingrained that pretty soon, we stop noticing things, and they become almost invisible to us. Occasionally, we can look with ‘new eyes’ at things and see their true essence. That is when we are awake and aware. A state to strive for, because when we’re in this mental state, we can choose to lead our thoughts and emotions rather than follow them!
The mind is controlled by subconscious programming which was downloaded into us while we were still in a ‘state of hypnosis’ in our early years, and latent expectations set and dictated by the ego, based upon experience.
This is why everyones experiences of ‘reality’ differ from one anothers; even when two people recall the same incident, there will be two slightly different slants to the story, due to the individual filters we each have. It is a wonder how we can agree on anything, actually. What we collectively agree upon as being real is called the collective consciousness or collective reality.
This is the world of the media, social life and the work-day week. The world of the frenetic mind.

We all live in bodies.
Some people have a disconnect between their mind [who they believe themselves to be] and their body. This leads to eating disorders and poor, or over inflated self-esteem.
Our bodies are genetic gifts that we can’t really manipulate too much, but can take care of~ by treating them properly and appreciating them as the miraculous machines that they are.
We need to have regular exercise, of various types, to keep our bodies in top working order, practice good hygiene and eat clean, wholesome foods and water to power them.
Many times we don’t start appreciating our bodies until something goes amiss with them.
Interestingly enough, that’s when we can use the power of our minds to influence the healing of our cells. Science has proven that thoughts affect the physical world, especially that of our bodies. We can chemically alter our cellular structure by practicing thinking good, peaceful and healing thoughts.

Athletes live primarily in their bodies. Their mind impresses agility routines into their cellular memory, so that while performing, there is no time to think about the correct action to take, but it is instantaneous. That same kind of mental/physical agile-ability to maintain and heal can be transferred to anyone’s body through meditation.

Daily meditation can become a great practice of ‘maintenance‘ of body-mind-soul. While meditating, we can visualize sending love and light into each cell on inhalation- and allow all pain, injury and disease to leave through our exhalation. When we slow the speed of our minds down, we allow regeneration and healing to speed up! This is why power naps can make us more efficient and over time, happier, because the natural flow of daily life will envelop us, and keep us still and centered inside, even while amid the hustle of outside life. We become a self-renewing power source.

So now you know how to combine the working of the mind with the body to create a natural rhythm and flow in your life…if you want to boost that up into hyperdrive, add the spirit component!
We can stay healthy in a calm and centered place, with a rather slow natural rhythm in our bodies, when they are vibrating on a higher frequency of internal balance between body and mind!
It is a place of balance that can be thrown off by emotional upset, exhaustion, or caused by stress quite easily- if we buy into the drama of everyday life. If we want things to go our way and they don’t. Or when we get upset by things we cannot control. When in a state of imbalance we open ourselves to disease from within or without.
To stay healthy, seek this balance, using whatever methods work for you.
If you want to be healthy and thriving, you can try this exercise:

Start by recognizing where your attention lies, usually that’s within the mind.
Bring the awareness of that energy center down from the head into the lower trunk of the body and feel the surge of primal energy there. Move it around and then up to the heart center and solar plexus. Spirit operates from the heart center. It is the Place of Balance between the head and the body.
When your peaceful center lies in your heart, your life’s focus will shift from that of self-preservation, to that of including others in your circle of loved ones. When we are feeling charitable, we generally think of those most like us or tied to us by familial and group bounds. Those like us. We discover a need for belonging being met. This gives us a sense of generosity and thankfulness, which gives us a power base from which to operate~ through the safety of acceptance.
This is a good place to live from every day. It is a place of health and balance. It is a place where we can thrive, but there is an even higher reality we can aspire toward…..

To find the highest level of connection in the world, meditate on the lovingkindness that exists within you and feel this extend into the known world. Know that you are connected to every. thing.
If you want to discover the highest frequency of mind-body-spirit, meditate on this:

All things are cellular, and held together by only the power of thought. When the awareness of thought stops, every part of the whole flows back together and becomes one.” This is the place of eternity in unity. With this vision of unity, you can re-enter everyday consciousness filled with a lightness and power that is more than ‘just the world’. You will become a Spiritual Warrior and Carrier of Light & Love.
You will be able to manifest a life of peace, fulfillment, contentment and wholeness.

on Love

Love. It’s a powerful word, and is interpreted in so many ways.
Today is Valentines Day~
If you’re aware of it, Love is affecting you, in one way or another….
You can express it and share it, or you can scoff at it and deny it. It’s your choice.
Many people are afraid to love. I find this sad.
They’ve been hurt in the past by not receiving the love they wanted or needed in the past. Sometimes they actually HAVE been loved, but have not perceived it as being enough.
So they have set up walls around their vulnerabilities in order to survive and feel safe.
This is sad, but not hopeless.
They think that by being callous or sarcastic they can protect themselves and survive without being hurt again. I’m sorry, folks, but life is change and full of unavoidable hurt.
Putting on emotional armor closes down the natural energy that flows through everyone’s body at birth. This is literally Unhealthy. The mind/body cannot thrive without the flow of Love coursing through ones Soul. The energy stays stuck at the root chakra and keeps people from opening up to the amazing experiences of living fully. To really live fully, you have to take risks! Especially with your heart.
You have to be a Warrior for Love in order to Live well.
Just think, if Everyone’s goal were be to live life to the fullest, and to come to the end, full of bumps, bruises, scratches and scars….without regret for any of the experience,
how much Humanity at large would progress!
Our souls are eternal, and will come back for another body, another chance to experience everything – in order to become filled with the blissful essence of wisdom. Every experience, even the hurtful ones, are for the growth and development of our Character, and our Soul!
So come on-  Give It Up- Take a chance on Love today!
Look at infants. They wail and scream because they are disoriented and uncomfortable.
But given loving attention, the cries stop, the coos begin, and smiles appear. It’s that easy! Well, it make take awhile…because some natural temperaments are ‘easier’ to soothe than others, but eventually, babies get the message that they are safe, and it is okay to feel comfortable in their new bodies.
A child that is loved has tremendous energy that flows naturally through the lower chakras of security, relation, and self-esteem. Look at how they play so happily & easily.
As that child grows, if they are encouraged to become themselves, they grow into their heart chakra and are able to freely express their love. As we mature, we learn to give our creativity space to move through our throat chakra.
This is the Sacred Work of Parenting.
Once we are on our own, we typically come to a place of knowing that there’s something MORE to life; whether during that disgruntled teenage period, young adult or midlife point, we start to sense that there is MORE than the mundane, physical life.
We must Seek it out! We can learn to connect with our Spirit and the Godhead within each of us!
We Can Become BORN AGAIN! ~by discovering our Spiritual Self and learning to Love the World and Everything in it! When this happens, Everything changes for the Better: we can live in Love’s flow!
When we feel safe, that we belong, that we are a valuable asset to our family and community, when we are allowed, by our Self and society, to express our uniqueness we CAN find Heaven on Earth, by connecting with our loving Spiritual Selves.
This is the motivation of LOVE that exists in each one of us!
Believe me. It’s in there. All we have to do is look with open eyes and awareness!
We need to come to an understanding that we ARE Love at our soul essence.
Each soul is a part of Universal energy and we are all connected
beyond the boundaries of our bodies, by love! <3
We are drops in the ocean of all-that-is…so when one is hurt, we all hurt, though we may not be consciously aware of it. When one of us grows, we all grow.
When we suppress Love, we cause harm, to ourselves, and others.
When allowed to flow, Love creates beauty and hope in the world~
We need to come to the realization that The Greatest Love of All is within ourselves.
This is one of the most important reasons we exist in this schoolhouse called Life.
To Learn this Lesson: Love is all around us– it IS us. It is the driving force of the Universe. It is the energy that makes us come alive, be creative, feel deeply.
Many people are living without this understanding. It can be helped. Whatever amount of Love you have in your heart – share it with others.
Give it to your Self in ways that pamper you and make you feel happy.
Give it to those you know and see everyday. Then start sharing it with strangers,
by doing small acts of kindness whenever you get a chance.
The WORLD needs our love. What you want, you must share. This is a Universal law:
Share a little, receive a little. Share a lot, receive even more than you put out!
~!Even a tiny spark of love can set off a wildfire of positivity all around you!~
Be brave.    Love.    ~and open your Self up to receive the love you are given!
You will Be Amazed!!

MidLife Energy; a NeoFeminist rant

Have you ever wondered why society has tried to keep women and freethinkers down?

Certainly, if you are female, you have! If you’ve been disgruntled with the choices your political leaders have made for you, you have probably considered stepping outside of their preferred lockstep and doing something about it yourself. If you feel a calling, or have a solution to a problem, step up and get involved! You will find the support of many of your sisters who are awake, but not yet in positions to lead.
I admire women who have had the courage to step up and change things for the betterment of all concerned; especially those who work for reproductive rights and the rights of women and children; Rosa Parks, Susan B Anthony, and Margaret Sanger, to name a few.

When NOW, National Organization for Women, started in the late 60’s I had hoped that the problem of sexual imbalance would be solved, but alas, the movement seems to have run out of steam.
Today there are even more pressing problems on today’s horizon; environmental degradation, cultural conflict and societal collapse brought upon us by the wars created by greedy institutions.
It’s my opinion, that if N.O.W. had more staying power, the problems we face today would be very different and far less severe! We, as humanity, would have had a lot more practice solving problems than creating them.

Did you know that in early times a ruler could NOT have a coronation without initiation by a woman of great power? Early temple priestesses conferred ‘power’ to those who would lead by initiating them with sexual rites. Are you surprised? or are you surprised that it no longer happens?
An example of the ‘Kingmaker’ in the King Arthur story is Guinever. Without the divine backing of a powerful woman, the king-to-be was incomplete. Think about chess, have you ever wondered why the Queen is so powerful – and can move in any direction?! ; ) ahh, now you’re getting it!

By connecting to his partner, and female side of himself, a King was made whole, and could then reign with the judicious power of both Mercy and Might.
With the rule of ‘Might makes Right’, the people die. With a blended power, the people will thrive.
We each need to look within and embrace our polar opposite side in order to walk in balance.
Men must become more gentle and women, more assertive. Then we must embrace each other in our FULLNESS. Only when enough of us have embraced our wholeness will we be able to heal the imbalance in society.
– – – – –
I know this is long, take a break now if you need to ; )
(part 2)
Native Americans have honored the role of the woman as the glue of society. Her instinct and quiet wisdom are revered and obeyed. And when the tribe is united by the Crone’s energy, it thrives!

Why do some say it’s a ‘woman’s place‘ to cook, clean, console, and raise the children? Don’t children learn balance best when they see it being modeled by their fathers?

Women do slow down due to genetics, and physically and mentally change, in order to have babies…nurse them, and clean up after them. But after they leave home, what do we do if we havent been involved in the work force or kept up on our education or vocations?

*What about all that women teach the youth about how to get along in society? Is it valued today?

*What is a ‘woman of a certain age’ to do once her nest is empty, she comes out of her brain fog, wakes up and says “What’s happened” and “What can I do with the rest of my life?”
It is a powerful place to be with all that ‘potential’ energy!

Part of midlife crises are hormonal. I think men suffer this as well, and possibly more intensely, because it is so foreign to them. Females are more adept at dealing with both their changing emotions
and the physical fluctuations of their bodies.
*When a woman reaches age 40 she is at her sexual peak.
Do we recognize this and celebrate it, or is it swept under the rug or worse yet, it she punished for it?
*At menopause, 60% of divorces are female instigated. I think it’s because women finally decide to take their futures into their own hands!!

*Women find that their skills have been mostly untapped and they get restless! They need to find ways to express themselves and throw themselves into devoted purpose!
*What do we call a woman who awakens to her latent sexual energy? A cougar. Why? and
*How can this energy be redirected to benefit society?

Is it because of this latent raw female ‘Lilith’ energy that paternalistic society has ALWAYS been secretly aware of, that this female power has been continuously repressed and smothered for centuries!?

~Tell us lies long enough, tell us they are from G*d, and we will believe them. But when we see through them, that they are not working… well, what happens when we get wise to the lies?

Women are great improvisers and adapters and should be encouraged to use these skills in all facets and phases of life! Grandmothers, teach your granddaughters to hold their power and use it wisely!

The year is now 2012, People are rebelling from traditional roles. Chaos always seeks Balance.
Institutions will have to change their basic perspectives if they are to transcend the OWS movement. Human rights and especially the collective feminine based power of “power within” rather than “power over” is on the rise  – its time for a change.

If and When ALL people are allowed to utilize their remarkable power, for cooperative strength to serve even the weakest links in society, the changes will be transcendental!
Go Granny Go!
Lets bring on the Power of the People!

Partnerships & Friendships

So the Universe is giving me a message loud and clear this morning.
You are on your own, girl. Show me whatcha got!”

Lesson: There is nobody else that is on the path I walk. People who I thought were my partners, spouse and friends all have their own agendas. The things I feel are most important pale in comparison to their own goals- even when I believed we were working toward the same things.
Universe says, “If there’s something you know you must do; get started. Do it. Pursue it. Follow your heart and keep listening to your Spirit to guide you.”

I am a person who wants to blend and merge with others…Enneagram subtype is called 1:1, aka the Lover. I am a lover of people. I want to become partners with others in order to support each other and get more accomplished than one can do alone. Ive experienced the joy of synchronicity and friendship in the past. It blisses me out more than words can express. And yet,
I know I can’t depend on other people to make me happy….even when helping other people is what I am here on Earth to do. It’s quite a conundrum. :/ *sigh*

This loving kindness that spills from my soul, Ive found lately, drives some people away.
A friend said to me, ” You Love too much. You need to be less enthusiastic in your loving.”
I shake my head – feeling a bit discouraged.
Im only following what a great teacher is said to have told his followers, “Love one another”-
Kahlil Gibhran says, “Love one another, but make not a bond of love- the cypress and the oak grow not in each other’s shadow”
I get this.
What I dont understand is why people, who say they are committed to me via marriage or friendship, stand on the sidelines cheering for me – but wont ‘go long’ to catch the football I pass them.

Reciprocation. Is it too much to ask?
When Ive asked for help, no one shows up.
So Ive taken this mantra,~
It looks like nobody loves me, it’s okay, I love myself. I think Im pretty damned great!
Actually, I KNOW Im pretty damned great…and wonder why others dont want a piece of that.
I would gladly share anything I am, have or know.

My goals are pretty clear to me. So today I take my first steps solo.
My dream is that others will notice Ive begun, and possibly, follow-
come up behind me, and ask to join me. The answer, of course, would be YES.
It’s not that I NEED them to succeed in fulfilling my goals…its just that the journey would be made that much sweeter if they were along for the ride. <3
It’s a long, winding road ahead of those of us who walk our paths alone.
I wish us all Courage and the Best of Luck!

Meaningful Work

Meaningful work in the Age of Aquarius. Today the Sun is in the sign of Aquarius and Neptune goes retrograde for the next 14 years.
Its a momentous moment. Hhmm, a bit of redundancy there?

Neptune is one of the outer planets, and influences things like psychic ability, dreams, illusions/delusions, water and oil on a generational level. As it goes retrograde, (seen on Earth as an apparent backwards movement in the skies), it becomes time for us as humanity to review and plan for new ways to implement solutions that serve the greater good! We need to especially find ways to stop using oil and protect our water before it is too late.

The Harvard Business Review recently ran an article that gave advice to people in college as to how to go about gaining personal happiness and financial reward…something we’d all like to know a little more about in these times. I’d add that the most rewarding of ways to live ones life is to have it based on a strong ethical background. Think of the uber-wealthy who give much of their energy, time and money to charitable causes, and you will understand what I mean.
The major points the HBR suggested were;

*Travel. Nice, if you can afford it…travel in a way that you can connect to the local people and discover insights to local ways of life.

*Develop situational awareness. Find something that needs to be fixed or solved in the place where you are.
*Look into problems that affect you in a very personal way. Use your individual Passions for a Purpose greater than yourself.
*Connect with people working on big problems. Use the internet and personal connections to network; discover more than you might have wondered about, and use this information in positive ways to both expand your area of expertise – as well as experience. This makes you more valuable a commodity as a thinking worker and allows for greater level of opportunity to come your way!

*Happiness comes from the intersection of what you love,
what you’re good at, and what the world needs. This is the big sticker. Maybe you know yourself well enough to realize your strengths and avoid your weaknesses…maybe you know you want to be of service, but don’t know how to get there…then there’s the sticking point;
What is it that serves to excite you, interest you- what are the causes that are greater than yourself that you feel called to and are worthy enough for you to dedicate your life and time to serving?
Discover this and you’re on your way!

Some of these ‘big ticket items’ are Global warming, Financial equity, Sexual Equality, Human Rights- large areas of concern that may either need to be stopped, healed or repaired individually and globally. These don’t necessarily need to be in the area of your expertise, in fact, many people feel more rewarded by finding a passion that has always been ‘with them’ but they put aside, thinking there was ‘no money’ in it…..and took a different career path. Now is the time to change course!

Pluto is in Capricorn, and will be for another 20 years or so, which means that the old ways of doing things~ and old, patriarchal traditions in society are crumbling in order to make way for the new – which will serve everyone.

Everyone can help: in our own ways, in our own circles, in our own worlds.

This is the Age of Aquarius; WE ARE the generations of today and tomorrow, that will serve humanity and even out the playing field between rich and poor, the haves and the have nots, in unique and electrifying ways! Welcome to the 21st century and the New Age~

Be a carrier of Love and Light and Serve Others.
Its the most direct path toward happiness and success that there is!

Your Daily Best

I may have blogged about this before, but it is worth repeating.

“Each day I will do my Daily Best“.
Daily Best means that whatever challenges we face, we give them a good effort,
doing what we perceive that to be…but it doesn’t mean giving everything a superhuman effort!
It’s especially important to give yourself a break from expectations of perfection while
you are under the weather or under pressure from looming deadlines.

To know you’ve done what needs to be done, in good conscience,
even if it is just a small effort- is the highest of daily aspirations
and all anyone expects of us.

To be able to close your eyes at night and release all tension from your mind~
to be confident in your actions, knowing you didn’t intentionally harm anyone,
and to know that the world was made better by your efforts,
brings a calm and deep relaxation to the mind.

Which is the best gift we can give ourselves.
Peace.
