Leo Decan III – Love or War

According to the traditions of Tarot, Mars rules this third Decan of Leo. Leo is a fixed fire sign and Mars rules the element of fire which encourages heat, struggle, aggression, and power in this 10 day Decan which starts August 12.

The energies of being rigid in one’s belief system and not backing down, unfortunately, are being tested during this time period, from August 12 – August 22, 2017, as Mars rules this heated time of year. We are asked to decide on acting from a place of LOVE or from Fear.<>

Coherence and Achievement of the people, rather than the leadership, was indicated by the last Aquarian Full Moon eclipse of August 7, 2017, so this also flavors the following Decan. When a Leo Sun faces down an Aquarian Moon, there is a conflict between the WILL of the the leadership and the people.

The Tarot card associated with this decan is the 7 of Fire, which traditionally indicates struggle, and on my cards is a skunk who needs to make a decision; “Do I spray or do I go?” We are on the brink of that decision now.<>

In the traditional Toth Tarot, the path of Fire cards eventually leads to Oppression, as the 10 of Fire Tarot card, yet, there are three steps in between which are Swiftness, Strength and Unification in the face of adversity. Does this indicate #Persistence? I believe so!

The most powerful astrological event happening this year, the US Total Solar Eclipse, occurs during this decan at 28* Leo. The Sabian symbol of many birds on a branch, indicates a multiplicity of potentialities of which we are to not become overwhelmed. It’s time to stay focused and rise up in common pursuit of benevolence. <>

Eclipses, historically, have indicated the removal of a leader. Humpty Dumpty may fall, but more importantly, we as horsemen, must discover how to reassemble a unified, cohesive whole once again. // This is to be our next step in the process of progress for ALL in our human spiritual evolution.//

In my 9 Keys Tarot, the Fire suit indicates WILLPOWER which can be the ultimate expression of “power-with” used for the benefit of the greater good, not only one’s personal “power-over”. The steps toward it from the 7, which is Decision, are 8-Coherence, 9-Achievement and 10-Celebration. I believe we will see this by the end of this year.<> We are truly Stronger Together!

When the passions of the 4th Chakra, LOVE, overcomes the lower desires of the Will, 3rd Chakra, we can create a unified peace in the land and Celebrate it with all mankind. May it be so!! Namaste’

Leo Decan II Victory

August 2 brings loads of good things; Venus just entered the sign of Cancer bringing love and family to the fore. So many people I saw yesterday were acting like love-birds, and why not?

The dog days of Summer are upon us! Have you wondered where that expression came from? Sirius, the dog star, is the brightest star in the sky. It’s found in the constellation Canis Major, and rises this day before the Sun. This was the omen that signaled the annual flooding of the Nile River which supported all life in Egypt. So historically it has been a day of great rejoicing!

Days of sunshine, fun, reunions of friends and family are also featured at this ancient holiday of Lammas – where people celebrate the first harvest of fruits and grain. We can celebrate the blessings we enjoy this day with more of humanity; share with your local food bank, give blood, be neighborly and check in with seniors living near you. Taking care of our weakest links makes us all stronger!

The tarot association of the third Decan of Leo is the 6 of Fire which shows a victorious leader riding his horse, his head adorned with a laurel crown. Take time to celebrate those achievements you have been working toward and all you’ve accomplished so far this year! Celebrate with friends who encourage you to be your best! Bask in the glow of community and shared interests. Joys shared are joys doubled~

As the planet Uranus stations direct today, we hope for a pause in the craziness we’ve felt lately. Uranus will be in apparent retrograde thru January 2 of 2018. That gives us time to reflect on the chaos of the mind. I invite you to OPEN your mind to all possible blessings and inspiration…because it comes to those who expect it!

Appreciate all you have. Lighten your heart. And remember what fills your Spirit with Light.

August 7 we have the Moon at 15* Aquarius, the point of Brotherhood, Humanity, and Fraternity opposite the transformer, Pluto. May the power of the people rise up in righteousness and bring transformation to the world that EVERYONE may enjoy the blessings our Earth brings; through clean air, water and fertility of soil. Let’s work together to acknowledge how valuable our Mother Earth is to our survival~
We can change the world – if we take bold, committed steps to do so on the Environmental front. Fight the good fight for Environmental Protection, Human Rights, Brotherhood of Humanity.
VICTORY is within our grasp now. May it be so!~

Leo Decan I

As the SUN moves into the constellation of LEO July 22, we see the emphasis change from the watery CANCER into the first decan fires of LEO. This is a signal that the recent nurturing period will provide us with enough confidence to surge ahead courageously into the next phase of embodiment of our power. It’s up to us to decide how best to use this fiery energy.

The ancient symbol of this decan is a flaming beacon. A lighthouse, perhaps. As it calls us, we have to focus this attention into something providential for all humanity. Like a rush of blood, this energy flies from our heart into our head, giving us the final boost that propels us to shore. We will soon be tested by fire, in that we must decide to use this energy to move minds forward or retreat to the sidelines burnt by its force.

My advice is to “Go for the GOLD!”. Now is the time to reach for that gold ring, and take the opportunity at this corresponding NEW MOON at 0* Leo, to set dramatic intentions for the next 150 days. As Saturn rules this decan in a fire sign, we see that the projections we make now turn into gold by December 21, when the Sun rules the last decan of Sagittarius. Review what you most need and then commit to manifesting it, now. This is a key period to manifest our deepest desires!

Reviewing the Sabian Symbols of this decan we find the keywords; Ambition, Epidemic, Independence, Quest, Legacy, Hive mentality, Applied Astrology and Revolutionary action. It’s in our best interest to join with others in focusing our intention on heart-centered action. Doing so will bring the fire of revolutionary spirit together in cooperative zeal. We must create a new, passionate movement of exalted ideals that serve all, rather than those with which we exist today.

The corresponding Tarot card in my deck, Five of Fire, depicts 5 bees working together in the spirit of cooperation and the keyword is COMMITMENT. Five is the number of man-kind. Now is the time to rise above our individual needs and work toward a goal which serves the needs of our world-wide society. Individually, we can take this Call to Action to use our voices, joined together into a great r-r-ROAR!

The 4 Queens

Goddess energy comes in many forms and expressions, from the Great Mothers like Demeter to the Destroyers like Kali. Goddess energy is expressed as the Lover and the Wise Sage, the Debutant and the Wife. Goddess energy serves both women and men, in their search for self-expression and fulfillment. Today I’ll explain how the Archetypes of the 4 Queens of the Tarot may typically show up in your life.

Queen of Swords [Diamonds] is represented by the element Air, which signifies inspiration, knowledge, insight, and oversight. She is emotionally balanced and wise from life’s experiences. There has been much sorrow and conflict in her life but she can still see humor in, and gains wisdom from all experiences. She has an analytical mind and is intelligent with much common sense. She will be honest and direct with you and makes a good leader.
She may be a writer, poet, composer, literary agent, newspaper reporter, talk show host, or a community organizer. She always has good ideas and you would do well to heed her unsolicited advice. She is such a perfectionist that she can conceal her true emotions in order to meet her ends. She will often say what people want to hear, in order to maintain the status quo and not rock the boat.

Queen of Wands [Hearts] is represented by the element of Fire, action, passion, courage and determination. She is popular and outgoing, healthy, fit and fashionable. She is a methodical planner, creative, competent and decisive. She is usually very kind, cheerful and easygoing and will be supportive and protective of others. You may find her in your life as a salesperson, a fund raiser, or a political advocate especially for children and the under privileged. Don’t rile her or she will become controlling, manipulative and vindictive. She can be very envious and cause trouble for people she sees as potential enemies.

Queen of Cups [Clubs] is represented by the element of Water, emotions, dreams, fantasies and illusions. She is attractive and romantic, often getting her way with just a smile. She is typically the perfect wife and mother who bakes cookies and cakes from scratch. She may be a childcare provider, a cook, a baker or a nutritionist. She is kind and sympathetic to the feelings of those around her and has a beneficence which brings much good to people’s lives. Because she gives so much of herself, she often feels neglected and unappreciated. She can become manipulative and controlling when she feels threatened and use guilt trips to get her way.

Queen of Pentacles/Coins [Spades] is represented by the element of Earth, stability, generous, fair and balanced in thought, word and deed. She is intensely loyal to her friends and family, dependable and helpful to others in need. She is sympathetic to social justice concerns and well organized. She can have strong opinions and be narrow-minded and hold a grudge if she is crossed. She tends to hoard material goods but may barter them if it is in her best interests. She may be a stock broker, investor, banker, grocer or shop owner.

Ideally, we should strive to be a combination of all of the above attributes in their most positive expressions; intelligence and foresight balanced with courage to take action. Of strong opinion or feeling balanced with generosity to share the wealth you possess. Equanimity is the central key to being a strong and powerful being – male or female. Namaste!
